It was very difficult to pick which photo to use, so I broke it down to three:
This photo is called “The Crossing” I’m using it to say farewell to two cousins who have crossed over in the last couple of weeks. November has been a very tough month for me. Not only saying farewell to two cousins, but also remembering my dear mother who passed in November several years ago. Losing family members is very tough, but the faith that there is another realm of existence where families will be together helps a great deal. It lessens the pain of loss and sorrow. I wish to express my gratitude to these two wonderful cousins and my mother who have influenced my life and were great examples to me of how to live life to the fullest and enjoy each moment.
Life is precious. It’s important to enjoy each moment you can with family and friends, because what else is there? Without family and friends, we have nothing.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving where we celebrate our Thanks to our Creator for all He gave us, and for the ultimate sacrifice of His Son, who gave us life that we will be lifted up perfected at the last day to be with those we love.
Isn’t that what this holiday season is really about? Giving thanks and remembering the real meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hope you remember to enjoy your time together with family and friends, and remember to slow down this holiday season and remember why we celebrate.

I’m participating in the online adventure travel magazine LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggers. This week’s Challenge is: Sunsets!
This week, I decided to add some of my favorite sunsets that I have captured.
I wanted to add more, but I’ll save them for another time. These images are available as prints at www.kellyguymon.com
Grand Canyon, Yavapai Point

Inversion at Sunset, Bright Angel Trailhead
Smoky Sunset, Grand Canyon. Taken during a forest fire on the North Rim.
Sunset at Grand Canyon Airport
Sunset at Bryce Canyon, Fairyland, with the Sinking Ship and Moon.

Sunset at Joshua Tree Forest, AZ
Sunrise, Zion National Park
I want to thank all members of our military, veterans, and for your sacrifice and ultimate sacrifice for your service to this country. Thank you for giving us our freedom and maintaining that freedom. May we always remember your sacrifice and be vigilant to remember our freedoms and liberty at home.
First of all, I want to wish all you Ghouls and Goblins, Orcs and Halflings (and other such creatures) a very happy and safe Halloween!
I am participating in this week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge of Water. This photo is of Zion Narrows. This canyon was carved by the amazingly small Virgin River over many millennia. It’s also one of Zion’s most popular hikes, but is prone to flash flooding.
I also decided to include a photo I took of a sunset in the Gulf of Mexico while on a cruise. This was taken just after leaving Cazumel, Mexico. It shows the beauty and desolation of the ocean. Almost like being lost at sea.
