I took this on my way to work last week. These are the Towers and Temples of the Virgin.
White pocket is on the Arizona Strip near Page and Lake Powell. I went here a couple of years ago and got lost, got found and almost stuck in the sand in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise it was a fun trip. The formations here are absolutely stunning. I will be posting other images from this area soon.

Today, I decided to go back a couple of years to re-visit Valley of Fire State Park, in Nevada, or, as my friends call it, Veridian III. It was here that the ending of Star Trek: Generations was filmed. It’s an amazing place with a lot of history and gorgeous vistas.
Every once in a while I get a hankering to hike in the deserts of Southern Utah. This image comes from one such adventure in 2014. I was taking macro shots of this yellow desert flower when I had a couple of unexpected visitors. I guess they didn’t mind each other’s company, and I enjoyed the moments of (not so) close interaction. These two are not social distancing, but I’m glad I kept my distance.
I have found a new supplier for framed prints which will lower costs and the savings will be passed on to you. If you are looking for a particular photograph of the desert southwest, it is possibly in my photo library. Just go to my website http://www.kellyguymon.com, click on the order page and let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll see if I have it or something similar.
Below is a photo of an abandoned farmhouse near Kolob Reservoir that is one of my favorites and many of my friends.
